MS creates some real challenges to keep on moving. It helps to inspire each other on how to find ways to move.

Did you stretch in your bed, swing your arms, roll side to side today? Or perhaps you did housework? Or exercised in a pool? Tracked your count of steps? Chased your cat around the home? Pushed the wheelchair wheels with your arms at the store? Post them here and we can support and egg each other on.

REMEMBER: This is a keep on moving thread, not keep on exercising! Any moving is important it doesn't have to be exercise! Even Science proves that.

It's the 4th of the month already and this thread is late in getting here. My excuse this time, as in the past, is that I still haven't calculated my step counts for the month of March though I hope to get to that soon.

Both pedometers have failed, and a new one should arrive today. I learned from asking AI that pedometers don't typically last more than a year or so. I have a way of expecting longevity from my gadgets and being disappointed.

I have new exercises to do as a result of the PT sessions. There are 5 new routines but 3 of them are only every other day. A couple of the old routines were declared unnecessary.

If you do PT exercises regularly, they probably need to be updated every now and then. I hadn't updated mine in 10 years. I was just perking along on the exercises I thought would be useful, most of them having been prescribed by a PT at one time or another. This latest PT actually approved of most of my current exercises.

When we discussed possibly skipping some sometimes, he said that there was one that should never be skipped--the sit-to-stands. Exercise experts are really stressing that one, I've noticed.

It's already April and in fact April Fool's Day just now.

How is life treating you? Any spring weather coming your way?

I've been getting on with watching movies, listening to books, and crocheting a few hats. And I've been rearranging a few possessions around here, even getting rid of some, with a view toward making things more accessible. There comes a time when some high shelves are beyond a person's reach.

This building is gradually removing all carpeting and replacing it with "laminate," or at least I think that's the name of the material that is now on some floors. It's made to look like a hardwood floor but isn't. I'm not sure I like it but I had no say-so in the matter.

My grandson is getting along in second grade and recently had his 8th birthday party, held in a park. It involved temporary tattoos for all and cupcakes made by his mom. Photos indicate that the weather was great and everyone had an enjoyable time.

That's my news from here in the Pacific Northwest. Anyone else here these days?

'For many people with post-Covid-19 syndrome, also known as 'long Covid', the mental exhaustion, difficulties with concentrating, and impaired cognitive performance that characterise cognitive fatigue can be some of the most disabling symptoms. Cognitive fatigue is also commonly reported by people suffering from other post-viral conditions, as well as conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS).

However, the underlying causes of this kind of fatigue remain elusive, write Stefanie Linnhoff at Otto-von-Guericke University, Germany, and colleagues in a recent paper in Psychological Medicine. That's largely down to its "subjective and often invisible nature", along with a lack of objective diagnostic markers, they write. In their paper, though, they describe what they believe to be a marker — one that they think could be used to monitor cognitive fatigue in people with a range of different disorders.'
