Just to update the PM situation: I recently posted about my disappearing PMs. I don't know how many I had originally but I knew that many had vanished and had no idea why.
If you don't use PMs at all, this will bore you to tears and so why not just skip this thread?
But if you do use them, I contacted the admins through that Moderator Connection feature and was asked how many PMs I currently have. It seems we're allowed to store 1,000 PMs in our Message Centers. I'm fairly sure that I didn't have that many before some disappeared.
I counted 300 remaining PMs. I have a suspicion that maybe a setting slipped, and the current storage limit might actually be 300 instead of 1000. I'll keep posting about this as I learn more.
So if you use PMs and have more than just a few of them, you might want to notice whether some have disappeared, particularly if you have more than 300.
