    Unwanted attachments

Hi folks I seem to have unwanted attachments on any of my posts. They say something about birthday wishes and are jpeg files. If I delete them they do not show up on my final posting. I have never opened them and never posted them. Any thoughts?

you are not alone on this issue! it's happened twice to me. it does go away on it's own somehow. maybe time to let the mods know?

For some reason it seems that picture posting option has gone in the crapper. Now I get two different kind of attachment messages and can't see the pic when actually trying to post it so it has made a big ole mess of a couple of different posts. Have no clue what is going on. My pic posting has gone on hold yet again.

Hmm, can you provide screen shots of these attachments? If you hover the cursor over them it should give you the url to open them, please copy that and let me know what it is so I can check it out further.

houghchrst attachments seem to be working fine for me. By any chance did you take care of your "enhanced text" issue?
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

        Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

It is just my pictures downloading as attachments to the thread instead of just appearing like they were.

Also I cannot see my picture when I am writing my post, not even if I preview. Then when I select reply my picture then shows up in my post.

*sob* *sniff* that means it is most likely at my end. That's what I get for trying to watch free movies on a site I never been to before lol.

Oh well time for a more intensive cleaning and then I will just have to deal with it.
