Slight changes to the "restore auto-saved content" feature.

In order to make the button to "restore auto-saved content" more visible, I have changed the size, color, and phrasing of the text. What does "restore auto-saved content" do?

Simply put the forum saves what you are typing every 30 seconds (I think I'll have to go double check) in case you get disconnected or accidentally leave the page. When you return to the thread you were posting or replying to, a button shows up in the lower left corner of the text box. This button wasn't as easy to see as it should be now :)

Let me know if you think it should be bigger, or a different color :)
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

    hey mike,

i was reading in the alzheimer's forum today about 930PM.

in the reply part of one thread, i saw "Click here to restore auto-saved content" in bright, big and pink letters. i clicked around to this forum and other threads in other forums, but i didn't see it anywhere else.

i don't see it in this forum now where i saw it before. is this still a work in progress or should i be seeing it everywhere?

    thanks,
    jeannie

It works in every forum. You will only see it if you've been replying for 30 seconds (you should see a yellow notice in the lower right corner saying "auto save") and leave the page (either get disconnected or click a link leaving the page), upon returning to the page you were replying on, the click here to restore saved content button should appear.
