Why can't we search back among posts very far?

In the past we've always been able to search back over old posts, usually going back to the user's first appearance on this version of BrainTalk. But when I wasn't sure whether I'd already mentioned something and don't want to repeat myself, I found that I could see my previous posts only back to April 14.

Is this a new development?
