Re: Thanks, Can it just say, "thanks" rather than "the following people thank you for this useful post"?

My "thanks" means different things: thanks for showing up, thanks for posting, I read you post, I support you, etc. So, "thanks" is what I want to say. Just that.

    Thank you,

I agree with you StillstAnnding. . as body parts, brain cells and such keep dying off I miight even resort to asking for a no thanks button as well :o.
Yep I am a woman and hard to please at times. But the reasoning was right so I agreed, In my humble opinion. So for me that means I will not hit the thanks button as much. But I am grateful to have it for the times it may fit perfect.

I agree, just a simple "thanks" will do. (now that someone has taken the time to add this feature!)

what is "biggie"???? is this something that would make it easier for me to see?

Yes Buttons, it makes things fat and big! Just look at the bottom left of this page. Change from "Vb4 Default" to "Biggie Style." It's at the very bottom left.

            Nice to meet you,
            ANN

PS: There must be some tinkering going on behind the scenes. The Thank You option disappeared in both styles at around 4:15 PM (East Coast).

oh Pati, since your eyesight is getting worse, you might love the biggie. Best I can tell it is found when you click on the "forum" button. It is at bottom left at bottom under ?default. Submit Reply and Preview Post are on the right side.

Starts off with quick file chooser I think and has vb4default as a choice and also biggie style. Best I can remember. If this is incorrect, someone straighten it out for us. I know I have found it before and the typeset is big !

Pati, I use the "biggie" thing. I can see the post without squinting now.

Now to those that work so hard to keep us going and also keep us happy. thank you! Jo

The Thank You option hasn't disappeared for me. It's moved over to the left but it's there.

It's on the right side again (hopefully it will stay there this time )
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

                        Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

Just "thanks" instead of "thanks for your useful post"? I like the short new version much better myself.
