Picture album problem

    Picture album problem

    I am trying to create a couple of picture albums and the application will only let me get a whole 5 or 6 pictures and that is it. What am I doing wrong?

    I know it says only so much space but it is saying that for all the albums put together. I thought maybe it would be per album at least.

    i tried putting up some pics too, and i think i got 3 on chris...lol. then it said i was over the space limit.

    i saw a link at the bottom of each album you have on facebook...i assume that lets people see the pics in that album. you can leave it up for a couple days, but i would do a test and see if the link works and if it just shows the photos in that album.

    or you can try reducing your pics by 50% on the "paint" program of windows. you won't lose any quality, just the pics will be smaller and you can put up a few more.

    or if you have another photo sharing program, like flickr or photobucket, you can put a link to that for a few days. i think we can edit for quite a while after posting a link...i edited a post i had posted about 5 days ago, so i guess right now you can.

    that's all i have unless one of the mods or admins comes along and says there is a space limit, or whatever.

      First glance shows everything working as it should. There's 10000 MB of space for albums and we're nowhere near that limit. You can have 2 albums each with up to 30 pictures. I'll have to dig into this deeper over the weekend.

      Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

      It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

      Step 1 - log in
      Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
      Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
      Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
      Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

      Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

      Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

                Hmmm this should have been fixed :( What is the exact message you are getting?

                I have again increased the limit by a factor of 5, so for now there shouldn't be any errors. vB is a bit primitive in this aspect and I might have to find an alternative for albums.

                  Poop I am gonna have to go through the help file for the application because I am just not getting it. I am getting worse though so it could be me LOLOL. I will mess with it soon and let you know what kind of feedback I am getting. Thanks Mike, just one of those little irritating things :ambivalence:

                    Picture uploader is saying I have like 976 KB for loading pictures. That gives me approximately 5 photos. Also it doesn't give me the option of deleting photos from my uploader. Don't know if that is just so you can keep track of all the pics we have or what. At first it let me add 5 photos to an additional new album but then it wouldn't load them all. When I delete albums I am not getting any space back.

                        albums are up and working. No longer getting the number up top of the attachment page telling me I have a small amount of space for pictures. Don't know if it was one of those user time things or if you fixed it. Great job and thank you either way.
