I see you have many diseases here

Not just the neuro ones. I post on MS.

I also have Porphyria and two rare myeloproliferative diseases, Polycythemia Vera and Monoclonal Gammopathy.

You might add Myeloproliferative diseases. I already post on three MPD forums, so I don't need it for myself, but others might.

The second one, Myoclonal Gammopathy is still a mystery to me, and not many have it on my MPD forums, so I might post there.

My MS MAY be Porphyria all along, or I may have both, No way to tell, 50% of docs said I had MS and 50% said not. They are totally confused by me. I can't take the chemo I need for my Polycythemia Vera and it's a crisis but I'm trusting God.

I am not asking you to set up the POrphyria forum as it was a big mistake with the fighting. I go to a very very good Porphyria forum where we know more than most doctors and it is amazing what goes on there. It is such a shame doctors don't read our stuff. And we never fight.

Thanks, the forum looks very lovely now. I'm glad I can use the smilies, I would love to use big pictures like roses as Abby does, but I don't know how! Mariel

That particular forum did not have enough activity to warrant it being recreated here. If we get enough people looking for such a forum we will add one.
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

      Hello Mariel!

You can find the full list of emoticons at:

Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...

Click on that link and type exactly what you see to get the emoticon you want (it will have a * in front of the word). Make sure your cursor is right where you want the emoticon to go on your post.
