    Hello *waves

Hello ... I'm hoping to learn more about how my brain works, chat with others and maybe offer some support.

I have complex PTSD caused by an abusive mother. Smacking, and violence at an early age followed by gaslighting and mindgames over an extended period of time. I have recently been recovering from a repressed memory and the transition of new PTSD symptoms and realisation that a piece of my soul broke off that day. Reintegration of that part of me to the me that is now has been an interesting experience.

I have also been researching the physiology of my brain, changes in developing brains and how the drug I'm taking (dosulepin) works for me. Understanding how things work makes it way less scary.

    Welcome, Nab013!

You've probably discovered the PTSD forum here at BrainTalk, or no? You mention maybe offering some support. You might have opportunities to do that on the PTSD forum--as well as the Emotional Support forum or any other forum here that you'd like to read or comment in. We're here.

I'm sorry that you're having this difficult problem--and hope that the abusive parent can be kept at a safe distance.

I'm usually on the MS forum and unfortunately know almost nothing about the drug you mention except that, like most drugs, it comes with warnings about possible interactions and side effects.

Looking forward to seeing more of your posts!
