    Apt representation

found these shoes on the net. They are a representation of what women go through to wear high heels. For me it represents how my feet feel on a daily basis.

    Yay for ART

O Chris, I LOVE the shoes! They are fantastic! But I wish I had thought of them... Maybe a pair for my mantle?

I have to say I don't understand why women wear such uncomfortable shoes. I know it is for the look but the look shouldn't be so painful and bad for your feet. I decided early in my work life I was wearing comfortable shoes and not worrying about how they looked. As a teacher I ended up wearing walking shoes because so much time teaching I was on my feet on a hard floor. I know it is easier for men to wear shoes that are comfortable. I just think women would be happier choosing more comfortable shoes.

I agree and I am sure if I ever attempted such a thing I would on my heinie in no time with a few fractured things thrown in. I am resigned to having to wear walking shoes with support for the rest of my life. I am considering getting some orthotic sandles for summer wear but I would rather be shoeless. Not good for my mutilated feet so sadly keeping my feet clad is my destiny.

I like going barefoot too so I understand the disappointment in not being able to go barefoot any more.

I predict these women who wear high heels all the time will suffer for it someday. they should be illegal. I also miss going barefoot. but then I miss alot of what came natural in my younger life!

Mark - I well know the feeling - Walking on anything without at least socks(thick) is like walking on broken glass. Good luck and hope everyone is doing as well as possible
