Belated thanks Ph.Steve and others for help re drug legislation

Greetings friends, from WA State, first state in the country to pass sweeping lesgislation (last year) regarding opiods. It's been a year of frustration and setback regarding the changing attempts and confusion as to how to implement the new laws.

Rather than bump my posts of frustration, let me thank Ph. Steve, for his advice to "play the game." Not easy, but was ready to hear that and have done my best. Thank you to others for your compassionate support, as always.

Now, insurance nightmares .... as I've seen reference to. Can't go through this again, so when there's an inexcusable, unexplainable rejection, I've started telling the Pharmacist to process it in cash and we call before pickup! Can't wait through long lines, drive a distance, be told it's rejected because of some wierd reason after standing in long lines. Almost without exception every person in line has frustrated comments they're sharing when they get to the front of the line.

I know there's more to come, but for now I did want to express my gratitude for everyone's help last year ~ and let you know "I'm playing the game" as best I can. CP worse than ever, exacerbated by these ongoing sweeping changes.

    Love to you all,
    shiloh

Too bad those bureaucrats can't be sued individually and collectively for patient/senior abuse.. because - IMO - that is what they have caused !

I'm also in WA state. Oddly enough, nothing has changed for me. I'm shocked how little trouble I have with my insurance. Best wishes.

shilol. sorry to hear of all your troubles with the changes in the law. Based on Kate's experience in your state it seems the pharmacy is a part of the problem. Do you have other choices with a pharmacy or are you stuck with that one due isolated area? Good luck getting things cleared up and working right.
