If you have not heard about section 3000A of Obamacare... you should "Google " it and read about it... it will put in process a bonus system for hospitals for those hospitals that spend - on average - the least amount per patient per year... When the hospitals transitioned from usual and customary billing practices in the early 80's to fixed DRG reimbursement.. where the hospital received a flat $$ amount based on the diagnoses of the patient when they were admitted... if the hospital spent less they made money.. if they spent more.. they lost money... the phrase at the time was that patients were being discharged "quicker and sicker"... I don't know where this is going... but.. I do know that when a entity that has to show a profit... is at risk of not doing so... they quickly figure out how to make things change...
We will see what I believe that we will see an increase in what is basically a "denial of service"... I am in the process of updating my website Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register... to help develop a network of pharmacists, doctors, attorneys to help people know their rights and defend their rights and know that they have an appeal process to denial of service...
Those on Medicare may be the most at risk.. because we will most likely start seeing healthcare providers from doctors thru hospitals no longer accepting new Medicare pts... having "coverage" may not guarantee that you get care from a healthcare professional...
It may not be good to presume that things are going to be "as usual" as of Jan 1, 2014 when ACA/Obamacare kicks in...
