    Detox - HELP

How much can I safely drop and how often - I am presently at 75.mg. Morphine Er. down from much more and the emotional repurcusions and physical are getting serious. I can only drop 15mg. at a time due to rainey day.....
Any advice would be appreciated - this may cost a 22 year relationship but if so, so be it. The doc who cut me off/rr me has offered NO support - I plan to talk to a lawyer, Malpractice - as she said she would make other arrangements for me - so far - NOTHING. please help I took care of other issues for my anxiety - although she knows I drink and wcut off my xanax - a deadly combination to come off of. I have just about quit drinking, am exercising but still feel like H....

Alex... cut 15 mg/day .. if you have enough.. every 7 days.. or whatever frequency depending on how much you have on hand.. actually those Morphine SR can be broken in half.. just can't crush them. Don't try to charge the doc on Malpractice.. patient abuse is more like it..

Thank You Pharmacist Steve - I have come from 120 to 75mg. It is Not easy - I have taken care of the Xanax issue - I am just worried about my partner who was on ativan. the Doc who cut us off wants us to go to a Shot Jockey - We may or may not go as i am in the process of making other arrangements - already have an Appt. with a highly recommended Doc. who is said to be very understanding. Yes - Patieant abuse sounds like it could be actionable. I also have a rainey day stash so we can both do 15mg. a week. Thank you for your concern and advice.
      Many Blessings

Alex, I am glad Steve read your post and gave you a qualified answer. I hope the doctor you are checking out comes through for you and this detox nightmare is over. I do think patient abuse is a better approach to take with your previous doctor. No one should be left with no support to help wean them off medication as most prescription meds say not to stop cold turkey.
