It has been a few years since I have posted here. I am curious as to whether anyone is still around?

my housemate keep bringing home gluten free food. told him to get checked! seems to be a craze on around here over it now. LOVE the pretzels and other goodies. since we are both type 2 diabetic's I have to watch the carb content of all this new stuff. and it's HIGH.
not sure when I first came to BT. none of you names seem familiar but then my brain doesn't function well. glad you found your way back here & hope you will all stick around the echo chamber! gluten is a word I never even knew until got started on no gluten for my dogs!
tell your stories again if feel like it OK? need some activivity here. thanks.

hello to all "old" members" & also to any new members. I don't think you will step on any body's toes here.
When the forums opened back up in 2006 we all lost our post count and the year we actually joined the first time. It was so quiet in all the forums it was down right spooky.
I'm glad you opened this forum JCC.. Give it a little time and I think you all will find many that are interested in learning more about GS/CD.
I've been here since April 1999. I first came here hoping to learn what I could about Alzheimer's Disease. I found myself being caregiver to my MIL. I found myself trying to deal with many health issues myself.
So, I'm older than dirt, have many health issues myself and recently the GS/CD issue was added to my many problems. I could learn a lot, but don't even know the questions to ask. I would be grateful for any help I can find.
I will be quiet and listen and look forward to learning all I can.
Thank you again for opening this forum. JoDid you ever know that you're my hero and every thing I would like to be I can fly higher than an eagle
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings

hey everyone
!
i remember all of you and i want to say, "welcome back!"
i think with more people getting dx'ed with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity that there is a need for this forum. i remember you, jcc, helping mother's that had children with gastro probs get on a gluten free diet. celiac disease was not getting dx'ed much 10 years ago.
i'd like to know what you think of people who have no gastro probs and want to go on a gluten free diet? do you think it adds any benefits to your health?
i don't eat much bread or processed foods, my only bread for the day is a whole wheat english muffin for breakfast with my almond butter on it. the muffin has 120 calories.
thanks for sharing all your knowledge in the past and for coming back now!
