TADA ! I actually remembered my ID and password. I see that you're both new members with a join date of 2006... hmmm ? I wonder what mine will say.

Good to see you here. This is actually where we first met back in 2006. I was trying to figure out why I could suddenly walk normal again after going on the GF + diet and you told me about gluten ataxia.

I didn't even know what ataxia meant back then. I only knew that I was off balance and my legs felt like they weighed 100 lbs each. And that I failed some test, which turned out to be the rhomberg, that my doctors had repeated on me for 15 years and all of the sudden I didn't fail it anymore. Lightbulbs were going off everywhere ...

Thanks for all the great info and support over the years. Hope to see you for many more ... tc ... Marcia

Hi, I am dilettantesteph on the other forum, but I'm pretty sick of that name. I haven't been around here before. Would someone like to give the newbies a little tutorial on how to best use this board. Thanks for getting this going. I was going to miss you guys.

It has been so many years since I've been here, and they have had some software upgrades...so I hardly recognize the place. The one thing I did really like about this forum is that the huge umbrella of topics. I was able to post about GS in the epilepsy forum, peripheral neuropathy forum, child neurology forum, fibromyalgia, MS, other autoimmune disease. In the days when I was heavily advocating this was very fertile ground! This forum used to be so active but because of multiple reasons, including an extended down time many many years ago... many people moved on to other locations. It will take me a while to remember to check in here. I have this thread set for notifications. And I just set notifications for myself for the entire forum. That way if anyone posts, I will be notified. We might all want to do that for starting up! (Under Thread Tools)

Look for the Quick Navigation link toward the bottom and explore some of the other forums that might be of interest to you....although they may be inactive too. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to start posting regularly though to revive and old forum. If you look at the top you will see links to PubMed, Medical Dictionary, Drug info, etc. Also, if you click archives you can read and search through all the OLD threads from past versions of this forum. You cannot post to those but you will find lots of old posts from Anne, Al, myself and others. Might be entertaining as well as enlightening.

I don't know what other tips to give you! Glad you found your way here, though. At least we have a meeting spot and maybe we can revive this place ... but it does take people to post with new information or questions!
