Bib blizzard coming

A major winter blizzard is supposed to start tonight and last through Thursday. I'm ready for that unless is knocks out power and we've been warned about that over and over. Oh, I dread trying to keep warm without power. I dread being without a furnace, hot food, TV, telephone, flushing toilet, lights, and on and on.
Yikes - no garage door opener!

I hope you won't lose your power. That is so very miserable. I know the advice is to bundle up in as many sweaters and blankets as you can, but I've done that during power outages and was still shivering.

Is there a number you can call to report a power outage? I always call that number, and sometimes the recording will even say when the power is expected to be restored. Even though the time given on the phone is quite often wrong, at least they're trying, and I feel less cut off just by knowing someone is out there thinking about getting the power back.

Right now, 3 PM it's just 19*, and STILL snowing. How I wish for spring.

Yikes -- this is the third day that there has been no mail delivery - at least no delivery in my neighborhood. Today, on the way to Walmart, I drove past a doctors' building and its parking lot was packed, the parking lot for a Mexican restaurant was full, Walmart was PACKED. But the mail can't be delivered.
