    stress from news or boredom

i hate the news i feel its all the same or stressful so why turn it on

what happens when you get stress ? cortisone streams though blood?

    vessels get smaller?

    i hate the NeWS

To some extent I agree with you. Partly it depends on the anchorperson. I find that Brian Williams interprets things and sorts them out so that there is less harshness. (6:30 PM ET on NBC as I recall, possibly except Sundays.)

Yes Clouds, the news is so grusome these days and they tell the same ones over and over.

Mal L, I see what you mean, but I hate how the news people try to tell you how to think about things. We don't need them to "put it in their own words"!!

Oh well, I have a lot of gripes when it come to the news. Jo
Did you ever know that you're my hero and every thing I would like to be I can fly higher than an eagle
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings

To Jo - Check it out. I think you'll find that Brian does not "put a spin" on things either.

I only watch the news in bits and pieces any more. It is too totally depressing, the world has gone mad. Mal like you I don't pay any attention to their spin on things. I have sense enough to fact check no matter if they say it nice and true or snarky and opinionated. Though I know there are many out there that will believe anything. There is always two sides to every story and then there is the truth. I am a bit fond of BBC world news even though the newscasters' demeanor are often comical to me. So uptight and proper.

I only watch to keep informed

Clouds, since we have the same stations from Seattle I have a big gripe right now! all the fuss over the viaduct is making me sick. they have hyped this up for days now. only thing interesting was the big equipment that looks like prehistoric critters of some kind.

I like Brian Williams also. and he has a new program this week. I also like Ed Shultz (sp) on MSNBC. he has a new time so hopefully can watch him more now. he's a plain talker but makes sense. of course a democrate through & through.

I like when they show animals. like the cub bear that got into the produce aisle & must have thought it was bear heaven!

however the pic's of the slaughtered Bengal tiger's made me sick & it was showed over & over.

I think the 24/7 TV is going to totally ruin this country myself. I admit I watch from boredom, but then if I'd turn the TV off I just might get something done right?

think about this: if we didn't watch TV we wouldn't know to not eat packaged salad mix or cantalopes, etc. we wouldn't get out poor brains in knots trying to keep up with which country is hating us the most right now? we wouldn't wonder why WE are never polled? haha

If I woulda watched the news lately, I would have known the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis could be seen last night in much of the country (including Ohio).
