    does anyone have DirectTV (satellite)

well I'm upset that on Tuesday I will be losing my favorite TV channel! NBC & FOX will be off the air for us if a contract isn't approved. this makes me MAD. I've asked my housemate to call them & tell them he will cancel if we lose these stations. (it's his bill or I'd make the threat myself).

this will affect football games & not getting to watch National Geographic.

    I hope everyone cancels!

    Hi Buttons,

I don't have Direct TV but I'm with another satellite company and they are also threatening to shut down ABC, NBC, and CBS. All of this is do to the gov't wanting more money from all of the taxpayers.
What you and everyone else needs to do is write to the FCC and file complaints with them. Here's wishing you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

    Sue

First of all it's not the government, it's the networks bullying the providers for more money.

Secondly, I'm quite ticked off myself (having DTV) at possibly missing the last 3 races for the season for NASCAR. Yes my neck is red Not to mention missing the last few episodes of Sons of Anarchy.

Having said all of that, we don't yet know if DTV and FOX will come to an agreement, and probably won't know until Tuesday :( I've been with DTV 10+ years and this is the first time (FOX does this every couple of years to everyone) it's come this close to the wire.
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

      Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

I've had DirecTV for almost 11 months now ........ I'm going back to Charter the minute my DirecTV contract is over.
I dislike them for lots of reasons. If I lose Fox I'll hate them
