We lost our precious Sweetpea

Our Sweetpea died this evening. She has been fine all day long. I checked on her this evening because she was sleeping on the bottom of her cage. She does this if she is hot or just needs a change of scenery but I know she doesn't stay down there for long so when I went to check on her again and she was still down there and when I immediately took her out she was listless and almost seemed to be straining for breath. So I called cj and told him to hurry home from work cause she was sick. Too late, she died soon after that.

Poor Shortcake is heartbroken. We all are, even Brody knows something is wrong.


We will miss you Sweetpea, you are the bestest ferret anybody could ever have.

Thank you guys. She sure was sweet and we all miss her. No one has the heart to take down her cage but it has to be done this weekend. She does have a litter box.

First thing shortcake said when I picked him up from school yestereday is that the snow made him sad and when I asked why he said it reminded him of Sweetpea. Ever since her coat grew in when I rescued her it has been a beautiful thick white and I always called her my little polar bear. I didn't even think he had remembered.

It's sad to lose a furbaby. I am sure she gave you many good memories and she knew she was loved.
