full moon, any moon

i know there is a full moon tonight and that reminds me to tell my moon story to you all. way back when my kids were small i started telling them that no matter where they were in life, small, grownup whatever, if they saw the moon, i wanted them to remember this - that i love them.

now i tell this to grandkids as well. i will admit that i doubt they seldom notice the moon and even so, doubt they recall what I told them. well truthfully the grandkids remember it better now. i am glad that i can remember telling them that as well.

I used to tell my girls when they went to camp or away from home to look at the moon and at the same time I will be looking at the moon too! It always seemed to help them get through things.
