Thank you, Virginia. Being 80 just seems so incredible.

It's just a number. An 80-year-old seems really young to all of the 100-year-olds running around these days.

Well, I'm not sure how many of them are actually running around but I did see one interviewed on TV just yesterday, and she was doing well.

Yesterday I saw my regular doctor for the routine Medicare check-up, and she said I was in fantastic condition!!

              That's great news, jingle!

I was at my primary care doctor's on that day too, by an odd coincidence, and I had great lab results too. Weight and blood pressure were good, and the HbA1C was good too. Best news of all was that the potassium is still in the normal range. It has had a way of getting too low.

Only one thing was flagged--low blood sugar. I've been told what to do about that and will make more of an effort to snack occasionally on something that has at least 15g of carbs.

So I had a very happy holiday, knowing I don't have to go back there again for 6 months.
