BT's Facebook site does follow most of the same rules as the forums. No politics, no flaming, no spam, etc etc. It wasn't any single post that made me reply to the thread, it was the overall tone. So far it's still within the boundaries so to speak so please don't stop the discussion entirely just because I replied.
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures? Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture? Question: What's wrong with my account?
Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".
It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.
Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen
Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.
Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.
not all cops with guns are good guys -probably 80% are ok 17% are passable or sleezy half way and 3% are evil maybe-there are stories of evil criminal cops
dont assume the average american who owns gun is untrustworthy-i think most legal gunowners arent insane or negligent
if you assume most people cant be trusted then i think youre going to be nuts
maybe there should be laws the guns have to be locked up in vaults in the house more securely or something
there have always been evil people now and then or very crazy people
they really dont even enforce the laws they have really
case:tuba man killed by 3 teenage thugs and they got 72 months in jail in seattle--a few years later one shoots a man in a bar and hes dead
news said witnesses didnt come forth so they couldnt try him as an adult
Hey Clouds. My son has been in Law Enforcement all his adult life. He is teaching Law Enforcement now, has been for several years. Before that he was on the town force.
He was asked to be a School Resource Officer at one high school. After giving it much thought and prayers he took the job. He carried his service revolver, that was just the rules, don't think it was ever an issue.. Thank God he never had to even take it out of the holster.
He has always been good with kids and he made many friends at the school. The worse thing that happened he was directing traffic after school one day.
He waved a young man on his way, the kid drove maybe 50 yards, lost control of his truck, hit a tree head on. Son ran down the road, pulled the boy out in case of a fire, the poor child died in son's arms. I don't think he has ever gotten over that.
He asked to be transfered back to the squad the next school year. He went back and stayed there until he was asked to teach Law Enforcement some years later, the drawback was it was something new and he had to draw up all his lesson plans. Guess he did good. HE enjoyed this more than anything he had done so far. He is still teaching, his classes won all kind of awards, went to State, then National. His classes have done this all the years he has been teaching.
So, would you think Mama was bragging cause she thinks he is a good Cop? You bet I am. After all, he is my first-born!! One of those good Cops.
Did you ever know that you're my hero and every thing I would like to be I can fly higher than an eagle
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings

hi all, just did not know where to go with my feelings. i live in ct but am not related to any of the victims. i am just feeling so sad and hopeless that our country just will not ban these high powered assault weapons.....i just don't understand the need to sell these ridiculous guns to the general public, there is absolutely no need.....they don't use them for hunting or target, they are just to kill.
our state endured the assault of hurricane sandy and many are still repairing and now, just 20 minutes from home, a guy opens up on 20 little children with an assault weapon....i don't know how to direct my anger....i write to our senators and congress folks every time we have one of these shootings and get a standard letter back. why does our country kill so many of it's own and why are we tolerating it? thanks for listening...sitting home trying to wrap christmas gifts but my heart is not in it, at all. thanks for listening, diandra
lots of more crime in mexico and south Africa--usa isnt too bad--our dingbat congress wants the best of security but they wont protect the kids with security or so it seems to me
