One of my cats is not well

I am very concerned and very upset. We have an appointment with the vet at 9:40 tomorrow.

Thank you. I have the heater in the car running. I'ts such a cold and miserable day. Poor kitty.

How is your kitty doing? I hope it was nothing serious.

Many thanks for asking. It wasn't anything serious --- it wasn't anything at all. The vet, who I trust completely, checked everything and then checked again. The cat is in great shape. Maybe yesterday he found something strange and ate it, maybe a lot of things - but now he's fine. So I carried him home, watched him gobble food, fight with his sister and take a nap.

That's always such a relief. Cats can eat weird things that don't agree with them. One cat of mine was very fond of staples, rubber bands, paper clips, twist-ties, and even plastic bags.

Oh Jingle I am so happy you guys are in the green. My cats too have their off days. They may act like they don't feel good and be off their feed for a day or two but it usually goes away on its own. Sometimes a hairball makes for an upset tummy. Any longer than two days and we are vet bound. Agate my kitties love bread ties. They don't eat them though. Every once in a while I will give them one to play with then after the newness rubs off I throw it away.

You're so right about the hairballs. I used to watch how one cat's appetite failed for a few days, right before the hairball. I could just wait for that hairball to happen as soon as I saw she wasn't eating well.

Thanks again! That spoiled cat (how did that happen?!) is totally himself this morning. He gobbled his breakfast and is now screaming for dessert. Pushy cat.

LOL in typical cat form. So glad to hear this. Our belladonna will skip dinner then breakfast and mope around the house but usually by next dinner time she is ready to eat. She's a puker too. She does not quietly go in a room and vomit, no, she meows so the whole house knows and then she projectile vomits while moving her head back and forth ensuring it goes everywhere and then goes off to have a small puke a little ways away. She gets small portions of soft during those meal times but I watched her get into the cat food bag and eat until she made herself sick.

I'm just joking here - and I know you understand. " Anybody that has a cat is stupid."
I don't have a bedspread - I just use an almost shredded sheet. It's easy to wash (along with the blanket under it) when a cat vomits on it. That's at least two times a week.
Last time I was sick I told the doctor I thought I had a hairball.

Back in the day when I had a cat, I crocheted little cat mats for the cat to rest on, and she actually used them. They were easier to clean by tossing them in the washer. Cleaning upholstered furniture or a bedspread is more of a project.

Aaahhh - what we do for cats. And they are worth it. I have two nice, lovely love seats - each covered with a double layer of tacky sheets, then a layer of big bath towels. How stylish, huh?
But the one in front of the window is their favorite place to throw up - my bed is their second choice..

Our Belladonna is a notorious puker. She is very dramatic about it also. Walks around the house with her 'im gonna puke' meow, so I immediately grab an entire roll of paper towels and the Resolve and follow her, she stops retches a few times then very dramatically she projectile vomits while shaking her head back and forth thereby ensuring she gets a wall or the side of a piece of furniture in the process. Half a roll down I follow her to her next spot where she reenacts the first event but only with a little foam coming up which means I still have a quarter of a roll of paper towels left. Then she walks off as though nothing happened. Returning to her food a short time later. Strange how cats are pukers. My feral rehab, Louise, vomits once in a while but nothing like Bella. It is not often enough to involve a vet thank God. My other two kitties don't do that. Odd.
