    Child sleepyness

    Hello,

my 1 year child admitted in hospital and have go.with MRI, EEG, other blood report.

    But all are normal

Child was sleeping most of time in day. When he will awake he has heavy weight on eyes and no more movements.

What is possibility for this ?

    Welcome, Pankajshah,

We're not doctors here but it doesn't sound normal if your child is sleeping most of the day. A 1- year-old still does need quite a lot of sleep, though--11-14 hours of the 24 if your child is between 1 and 2 years old..

I'm not sure what you mean when you say he "has heavy weight on eyes."

    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

I means that while he is sleeping , he has no sense like we are touch him or pressure him , he is not awake. he will awake automatically after 8-10 hours and some times 5-6 hours.
Doctor here was not come with proper diagnosis.
MRI, EEG, NCV, VBG, Other blood reports are normal.
When he is awake, he is not properly open his eyes as he is feel like he has issue in seeing but opthamologist say he has not issue in eyes. it was due to Brain. sometimes he is blinking eyes continusuly like 8-9 times in munute.

Maybe the doctors are waiting for a while with the thought that the eye problem will correct itself as many infant problems do. But it seems to me that the doctor should have told you that.

If the only information your doctor has given you is what you've reported here, I hope you can find a different doctor. Or can you request a second opinion?
