    Your mother died of CJD? That must have been terrible, and I'm so sorry for your loss.

    People don't seem to be very aware of how the world has been changing--and diseases are hopping around from one animal to another and from animals to humans and vice versa. There are ways to get better control of the situation but they may not be going into effect fast enough.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

      yes, my mom died for the Heidenhain Variant of Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease hvCJD, confirmed. hvcjd is a variant of the sporadic cjd's, which is a rapid progressive CJD strain from first of symptoms to death, and affects the vision usually, with my mom, she went blind first off, this variant the tse prions manifests themselves in the occipital cortex. a vicious strain of CJD, hvCJD, the myoclonic jerks were severe. a terrible disease cjd is....kind regards, terry
