Hair Coloring and Seizures

Hi Folks,

I've heard rumor that hair coloring can trigger sz. I've never done this before but I'm thinking about it because I'm starting to get a little gray hair. Have any of you tried coloring your
hair or heard any info. about it triggering sz.? I would appreciate any info. if you know anything or have tried coloring your hair and if it did or didn't trigger sz. for you. Thanks for your time

I dyed my hair once. At the time , my seizures did not increase. Having said this, it wouldn't surprise me if other people would be different.

What is left?
Chemicals absorbed through the scalp maybe?

Once you rinse, what else could effect your nervous system?

Thanks for your help I appreciate it. I spoke with my pharmarcist and he told me that it depended on the brand of hair coloring I got and the type of chemicals that it had in it that could possibly trigger sz. I've read

Hi Porkette,

I have found this post recently. I want to dye my son's hair, but he has epilepsy. There is a long remission. And I don't want to make things worse.
I wanted to ask if you tried to dye your hair and if so, was everything ok?
