Thank you for this info which I will try
I Have a very important question. My local chapter provides NO help.
My question is : Is there any known Medication Buying club for those that
A) must be on very expensive brand-name drugs.
B) have tried the generic.
C) My local state chapter provides NO help.
D) The brand-name company provides no help.
My Brand name drug is Keppra . The generic is Levetiracetam. The manufacturer of the generic was Lupin, an Indian Company.

I checked the Needy Meds website to see what they had, and they do have some programs available that dispense the generic Levetiracetam.
Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...
There are two that i saw. One is Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...
The is info about the other one. This is the link to the Keppra page although the drug is the generic. The specific company is ******* Pharmaceuticals, and information can be found on the Net but this is the name. This particular plan/program is out of Missouri and it seems easy to qualify for. I think the distributer is in Michigan.
"******* Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is the flagship company of the ******* Group. Based in Ahmedabad, it was promoted by U. N. Mehta initially as Trinity Laboratories ..."
The site mentions the cost is $20.00 for script, but I called, and that is not correct. I got this info from the pharmacist at this program in Mo. They tell me that a 90 day supply is $50.00 no matter the strength needed!!! You can find the application process at that link, and can call and get info in application process. Hope this helps. I will be interested in how it works. I have never taken the generic and may have to. Tattoo.Last edited by Tattoo2; 04-27-2012, 06:36 AM.

HI Linnie, Both are on NeedyMeds. One is out of Michigan and the other Fla. Criteria for the first is 300% of the Federal Poverty Level which can be found from Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register... and the requirements are on the Needymeds site as:
Eligibility Requirements
MEDICATION Keppra (leviteracetam)
Insurance Status May have insurance
Those with Part D Eligible? Yes
Income At or below 300% of FPL
Diagnosis/Medical Criteria Not required
US Residency Required? Must reside in the US
Hope this helps. Let us know what you find out an what you think. That pharmacist I talked to said that meds that come in from other countries still legally have to meet some FDA requirements if sent to a distributor here in the US. Donno if those requirements are watered down nor how they differ from those manufactured here. May be no difference. Tattoo
