Phyllis I would just start over with what your doc wants you to do and mark each day on a calendar as soon as you take it so that you can get it right. If you set an alarm on your puter or something it will help you. I hated it when I had to do the same because I always forget the mid day dosages. Doc did the same to me for Pamelor. then when I got to the end I had a single evening dose which is what I take now.

      That's the problem, Chris............................................. ...............

I screwed up what my doctor wanted me to do, because, she made go through an entire week
of taking it *one* amount, then, when I got used to *that*, she'd increase it to a higher amount, etc.
*But*, what I was taking at the *beginning* of this whole night-mare, was working just, fine!
I don't understand, the screwing around with it!? Especially, just throwing it at me, without,
knowing that the previous dose was working perfectly?! I appreciate your suggestion, but, I really
think, I'm going to go with my previous dose, because, it was helping me so much and, because, I
have *that*, routine, down, pat. When I see her, I'm just going to tell her where she can stick her new
      med. routine!!

I thought you were having problems, not with your seizures but other things?

        Well good luck.

          Understood, Sue!

*But*, I'm on *2*, different meds. and she wants me to take different doses of *both* of them every
week. With 2 meds. it's just too confusing. My brain doesn't work like that.

            Hi Phyllis,

Tell your neuro to order a DNA test for you by doing this they will find what AED will help you the most and have the least side effects. If I were in your place I would call your neuro and ask why they are messing around
so much with your AED's. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

              Sue,

They only added one med. to what I was already taking. For whatever, reason, she felt, I needed it.
I just didn't understand how I was supposed to take it with my other Med., but, I spoke with them today,
              so, it's all good, now!!:)

Are you who are having issues with meds seeing an Epileptologist who has done the Fellowship in Epilepsy or are these general neurologists? They sound a little like general neuros. Also are your seizures stopped cold on the regimen? If not, then the meds aren't working anyway. Time for the Epileptologist Tattoo

I tried to delete this post,

but, I guess, too much time had passed. Anyhow, I just spoke with my neuro. and she
dealt with my medications. Damn, did I have everything messed up!! No wonder, I was having
                    *serious* side-effects!!!

Phyllis,I'm a little late in replying to this, but,I screwed up my drug schedule to accommodate an early morning flight about three months ago,of course,AMA..I was "off" for about a day or two.(No sz,just conked.) Just remember timing is everything with these dosages..time zones can screw you up,as well.
