In loving memory of Ponygirl ...

It is with a heavy heart that I post this thread I just saw a message on my Facebook page stating that Phyllis passed away suddenly on October 2nd 2012. Her sister left the message, along with the message she left a url which I will post below. I have asked her if I may pass along her contact info and if she agrees I will pass it along PM here at BT.

Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

Wow, I can't believe it. Thank you for posting this, Mike. I didn't know Ponygirl personally, but I've been on these boards since the very, very beginning and so was she. She was one of the regulars and I remember seeing her posting not that long ago. I am truly saddened to see of our own pass. She was obviously a very giving and trusting person - she was one who regularly offered support to others. RIP Ponygirl.

I can't believe that Phylis is gone we used to e-mail each other a lot and call each other. Phylis told me she was having some problems with her shunts a few weeks ago but I never heard a word from her
after that. My prayers are with her and her family she was a great friend and a great help to me. Thanks for letting us know. May God Bless All of You!

        mike,

thank you for passing that along!

what a shock...really. i have so many thoughts right now about phyllis.

all i can say is i hope phyllis is in a peaceful place, for she was so afraid of this day happening, the day she would no longer be here. we all have to come to terms with our own mortality and phyllis was very afraid of dying. i hope she didn't die alone.

this past year, phyllis reached out to me and i talked with her on a few occasions when she was feeling as if she was having a seizure coming on. we just talked about personal things, family, our pets. phyllis was a sweet woman and i think she was very lonely. i talked to her one night for 6 hours, until the wee hours of the next morning. i hope she had other people who gave her support.

        may phyllis rest in peace.

              by James Dillet Freeman

              She has put on invisibility.
Dear Lord, I cannot see --
But this I know, although the road ascends
              And passes from my sight,
              That there will be no night;
That You will take her gently by the hand
              And lead her on
Along the road of life that never ends,
And she will find it is not death but dawn.
I do not doubt that You are there as here,
And You will hold her dear.
Dear Lord, I thank You for the faith that frees,
              The love that knows it cannot lose its own;
The love that, looking through the shadows, sees
That You and she and I are ever one!

her voice was much like her total being, all light and twinkly when she was happy talking on the telephone (the too few times I spoke with her). I had often wished it wasn't so far between places as I know many BT's would have loved just visiting with her and/or taking her places. She was at everyones mercy when it came to traveling. I know I will not be the only one with a heavy heart after hearing of Phyllis' passing.

Oh my goodness. What a tremendous loss. As she so eloquently said on 08-11-12 "I have to say this, again!! Nothing, replaces, friendship!!!" Ponygirl, yours is a friendship that will never be forgotten and long missed for the love, help, smiles and input that you have shared with all of us here.

With a very heavy heart I try to imagine Brain Talk without our dear friend, Phyllis.

I met Phyllis when I joined Brain Talk in 1999'. She was one of the first to welcome me to BT.

She was friends to many. We will miss her, but know she is resting in the angels arms.

                      Rest in Peace dear ((((Giggles))))

2014 and Phyllis is missed as much today as she was back in 2012. I am like Jo6 in thinking that Giggles fit Phyllis so very much with her laughter when she was feeling ok. I suspect we never knew just how bad she did feel at times. such a lovely young woman and she is still missed very much.

With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Thy servant Phillis, where there is no pain, nor sorrow, nor suffering, but life everlasting.

Ponygirl has been a part of BrainTalk Communities for a long time. I wish her the best in the beginning of a new everlasting life.
