Yeah, Renee I would like to complain a lot more than I do. But there is no one to listen and the few that are around I am afraid I will run off, so I try to stay quite about most of it.

Are you really having surgery next week???

You must complain to survive and this is the place where peeps are supposed to understand and help by listening, enpathising and knowing what we are feeling.

Did ya ever tell a friend how fatigued you are, only to have them say.."yeah yeah, me too.:ambivalence: When we say it here everyone understands what we mean. It's not just a usual tired!! Friends and family try, but they just can't validate what we're feeling, as we on this forum can.

If you have no pains, fears or complaints and don't want to hear about others or find ways to deal, then, why come?:o

Anyone who puts you down for complaining/whining, are the ones who do not belong here.

Sal & all, I am suspecting that this is pointed at me? Could that be? I can't do the quotes (double quotes thing) but Funnylegs is tired of explaining to peeps about her disease and it makes her psst. In my reply I am agreeing and saying that if I don't teach about my disease, how will others know?
If this is not right, 'splain me. OK?

stillstANNding, I don't think anything was aimed at you at all. I for one understood your post to say what you said it's saying if that makes any sense.

I'm pretty sure Salpalsally was speaking in a general way.

          Welcome to Beccie!

renee, what's this about surgery next week?

What do you think- a thread entirely dedicated to complaints?
First 200 complaints a month and then it gets closed.

Imaging due to a very persistent uti (which appears to have chilled out)
and they found an internal abscess on the left side of my torso.
The CAT found it. 3-4" sounds icky.
No wonder things were cranky on that side.

Ideally this is an outpatient experience with little anesthesia and a sedative.

Usually the docs look at me afterwards and say 'lets keep her overnight.'
I think it's the para thing which is fine by me because I have no
idea where they are going to dig in.

Interventional radiologists- surgeons with no blood lust.
                :>) , yes!

Made fool of self due to spastic muscles because of weather

If it makes you all feel any better, I made a total fool of myself today because the cold here locked up my hip flexer. It is 51 degrees here where I live and my hips were not happy about it. I was at a class and they had this table leg sticking out. My CP brain decided it would be a great idea to slam me into it-twice! First time I just tripped. 2nd time I fell for real. Everyone was like "What the hell is with you today?" and I tried to explain how weather effects me. They just didn't get it and I felt humiliated. I was super pissed at my own body for once again doing something that was completely out of my control. This was one of those times when I understood why some people call the CP brain signal the bully or the beast. For a second I wanted to almost cry but I didn't.

Well pooh, Renee, I'm sorry. I hope your UTI hurries up and gets better and your operation goes well and everythink turns out ok.

Renee - hoping for the best outcome and some really good food.

Funneylegs4- sometimes it is so hard to make yourself understood w/o giving a lecture. Sorry that you had a black & blue day.
