New Text from Sally

I just received this text from Sally @6:45PM ET on Tuesday November 29:

" Be home 2morrow about 4. Will get online as soon as I can. Im scared and weepy.Please ask evry1 2 pray 4 me. Love to all....

My thought on this is that I hope she comes home with a carefully thought out discharge plan. A nurse to oversee, CNAs, and home health aides where needed.

Just got off the phone with her. PT and OT have been ordered for home. She doesn't want an Aide but may get one for a week or two and see how it goes. She says she is so much stronger and in hardly any pain at all. Daughter has arranged transport for her so there is little possibility of a fall again and Sally has her scooter with her at the hospital and will go home in it with the transport.

She promises to get on line and update everyone as soon as possible (probably late afternoon or early evening tomorrow)

I am glad she is getting to go home, but I am sure she is scared. I just hope everything needed to make her feel confident and secure again is being done, and it sounds as though it is. Maybe after being at home for a while she will feel more like herself and more comfortable about things again.
