    Insurance Coverage

Can anyone suggest who can assist me with health insurance coverage? I have to purchase it on my own. It gets confusing to me.

Yes, find your state's SHIPs plan. Ships stands for State Health Insurance Plans . I just googled the words
    state health insurance plan.
It came up with a lot of finds . Someone there would help you. They're paid to help you.

Newone, did you try the SHIP program in your State? I called them one time a long time ago where I live and they did not know as much as I did about some
of what I was asking. This was a little different. I was going on Medicare and I think they had hired some volunteer workers.

Let us know if you need more hlep. Ask specific questions and we will do our best to answer.

I agree that your State's SHIP program should be able to help. A good insurance agent will also be of great help. There is a federal high risk program that offers health insurance coverage to people who have preexisting conditions and have been without insurance for 6 months. If you have been without insurance for that long, you should check into it because the premiums are subsidized by the federal government so they are lower than most high risk policies.

There are two plans here under the health reform act. I read them and become more confused.
