    Is this from MS?

Hi another question for my MS buddies, I am having pins sticks in my arm from my elbow to my finger when ever anything brushes against my skin. It happens all the time when I am dressing it will jump me when it happens. It's not painful just a nuisance it can come on if I shake my hand fast.It feels like I am being shocked. I know this sounds trivial but I am curious and I want it to stop. Any ideas?
    Thanks. Jan

MS can and does cause some bizarre Sx at times. but in this case I wonder if there isn't something putting pressure on a nerve? Especially since it happens when you shake your arm.

It is annoying but you might want to see your PCP as if it is a nerve problem you would not want to cause some permanent damage.

Years ago I would have a similar sensation when taking a shower and the water would touch a certain part of my skin. Another period, I'd have that sensation when the skin on the top of my foot was brushed by something.

But it is not something uniquely associated with MS. Check with your doctor.

Hi Jan.:o If you have MS, then your nerve sensations are most likely caused by it. However, as others have said, there are other causes. I've never found a med that would stop those kinds of sensations.

        Feel better soon..((((Jan))))

I have the same sensation in my arm as well, mine goes up my arm to my shoulder. It comes and stays for awhile and then goes. Right now I have that all the way down my left leg. Brushing up against stuff or sometimes my clothes can be real aggravating to my skin when I am like that. My nero told me that my nerves were acting up because of my MS, I find also when I am heading into a flare it can get more intense. Feels as though the part that is affected has fallen asleep and I have the pin pricks that you get afterwards.
