    risk benefit

I think we as MS patients should be very careful about what remedies we sign up for. I'm not saying anything against Tysabri or about any specific treatment. In fact, I can easily imagine being disabled enough to want to risk any treatment that looks good.

The trouble is that it's also very easy to imagine enterprising individuals who see us MS people as a potential gold mine. After all we have a chronic condition that can be extremely disabling, and we just might have that condition for 60 years or more. Think of the potential drug sales over those years....

I'm not saying we've been had with Tysabri. I am saying that we're vulnerable.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

The FDA does not protect us as much as they should. Too much quid pro quo going on there, I think. That Shouldn't be.
