    Volunteers wanted for phone studies

    The University of Washington in Seattle is looking for volunteers for two studies, conducted over the phone and open to anyone in the US.

    In Motion Study / Exercise and Depression

    Principal Investigator: Charles Bombardier, Ph.D.

    For people with SCI (spinal cord injury) or MS who are 45 years of age or older who are feeling down. The study compares two approaches to helping people become more physically active. The study lasts 6 nmonths and compensates up to $120.     Take Charge Study /Self-Management

    Principal Investigator: Dawn Ehde, Ph.D.

    Looking at treatment for pain, fatigue and depression related to MS. Treatments teach different ways of managing these problems in hopes of reducing them. The study lasts 13 months and compensates up to $120.     Edited to add: I've participated in a number of studies in connection with this organization, and they have always treated me fairly, and their studies have been set up in a way that was easy to follow.
