I Know it doesn't do any good to complain about the weather, but it makes me feel gooder..

Woke up this morning feeling heavy, groggy, anxious and grumpy. When I checked the weather channel, I saw why..... Tstorm warnings, raining, humidity high and 90 degrees high. I hate this disease and IT hates this weather!!

I pray everyone else's weather is more pleasant, Jeanie's David gets help today and Gary comes out of his scary attack.

          Hugs and love all around.
          Love, Sally

            I'm baaaack,

Home after a week in the hospital (thanks Cherie, for posting an update) probably got a infection through the IVSM port in my arm. It went septic and caused a pneumonia they dumped over 2 1/2 gallons through me plus meds for raising blood pressure as it had dropped to 40/20. I had 3 IVs going and they put a central line in my neck. Don't ever say that is fun! Upside is no pokes for blood work. Actually the anesthesiologist knocks you out my daughter happened to be working in the ICU and she told me later that my perception of time was not necessarily what really happen. I talked to them while they put in the central line I certainly don't remember that. Now just weak and vision is a bit wonky.

I am glad to be home, you recover so much faster.

Nap time as I have a follow up Dr appt today at 3:30.

Thanks folks I need all the good thoughts I can get!

2 hours?? I think the corn would be tough as nails by then! I barely cook fresh corn anyway...wash it, drop it in boiling water, bring the water back to a boil, pull it out, slather with butter/pepper/salt and munch...
...I am not a doctor nor medical professional, and don't pretend to be one, here... :o

Gary, welcome home and we're so glad you are back and once again on the mend.

Well, I guess you can tell the cooks around here. I have gotten kind of sloppy. I put my corn in the microwave, husk and all, and take it
out in 7 to 8 minutes. The husk just falls away and the corn taste alright to me. A friend told me about this and then I saw someone on
utube demonstrating it. Of course you can only cook two or three at the most I guess. For just me I cook one ear.

Sally, I am joining you today. I felt really down, heavy in the head, etc. Our temperature was high and the humidity was about the same.
We also had some thunderstorms. We have had some bad ones the past 5 to 6 days. Trees are down in areas and some houses were
struck by lighting and caught fire. Friday and Saturday are forecast to be 100 degrees again. This is getting old.

:)Hi everyone. Thanks for asking Ann. Gary you get better and stay that way for awhile.

David finally got to see the liver doctor after 57 days of being in VA. The doctor did not seem to know much about David as he had apparently not read his info and the MRI results. He told David he would consult with another doctor and to call him on Monday at noon. That is another week away and no treatment scheduled. We are both very disappointed and worried. All this while the cancer is growing. I feel so powerless being so far away and only able to talk on the phone.

David emailed me that he sent the doctor an email. I hope that gets some result. Thanks for all the prayers. Please keep praying. Thanks, Jeanie :)

Jeanie, it's been such a long and dreary slog for you and David--I keep hoping that some better news will be forthcoming. In the meantime, if it's any comfort to you, people here are thinking of you and hoping.

Jeanie, I can only imagine the anxiety both of you are going through and being separated like this does not help. I think of both of you so often and pray for you each night.

Same here...barely cook it. Tastes better that way IMO
