Recommendations re Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for MS patients on fingolimod, ocrelizumab

Something must have happened in connection with the previous posting of this information. I hope SuzE-Q won't mind if I repost the link to the article she posted on 5/14/21. This seems like important information that this board should have. It's dated April 22, 2021.

Interesting that this article recommends that those persons taking Gilenya not get the Pfizer vaccine because they won't respond to it. The National MS Society doesn't include this recommendation, maybe because it wouldn't hurt those people to get the vaccine anyway, just in case?

They don't even mention this recommendation. However, if I were on Gilenya, I wouldn't bother to get the Pfizer vaccine--based on this article. Maybe one of the other vaccines would be better?

So glad it says no adjustment in schedule for Rebif, because I sure didn't make any.

New MS medicines keep coming along, don't they? Ponvory and Bafiertam are fairly recent.

I have not paid any attention to these two. I will check into them.
