Linda, I'm seeing a "Comment" tag too on every one of your posts except your first one. The system seems to be set up so that there's no comment tag on the first post in a thread.

I'm not seeing a "Comment" tag on stillstANNding's reply. Maybe that's another feature of the system?

I'm viewing this on my desktop PC.

Hi Ann,
I still do not have a comment link. Maybe I have to reach a higher number. It is really annoying.

anyway, the farm is functioning. It has been rough…so much rain and cold at the beginning of the season is playing with quality of crops now. And then late crops we planted are producing beautifully now…close to the end of the season!
we are picking new fields of haricot verts and Italian flat green beans (my favorite). Figs have just started slowing production but it was a fantastic year for figs. I dig potatoes every day and so far have kept up with what we can sell.
the markets have not returned to full capacity around here and economically depressed Northampton is not even close. Amherst has more vendors and John is having a good year there. So am I really in Northampton. I bring fantastic specimen plants to sell and so split my sales between food and plants.
still, the younger farmers don’t have the financial security we have and many of them won’t survive…maybe have already called it quits. Too bad. I feel bad for all business people…so much love and care to create something and then boom, it is all gone.
anyway, life is good and life is bad. I guess it is A Tale of Two Lives!

Linda, based on my phone vs my iPad, which use the same operating software, you have to be logged in to see a “comment” link.

I’m glad that you have survived in general :-) and that the farm survived the heavy rainfalls we’ve had. I had my best garden yet despite bad mildew and other ucky problems out there.

Still no comment section. Ann says she has it on her page. It is as bad as having lost that button we had so at least people would know people read their post. (The like button on Facebook does the same thing). It is too hard to go searching through everything looking for a comment someone may have written. I get emails from Braintalk telling me someone has posted in a thread but it comes in a form that is gibberish and impossible to read.

Hi Linda, let us know if you see this comment. So, enjoyed hearing about the farm again. Sounds as though you and John are surviving pretty well, which is proof that you have good produce and plants to sell. I too feel sorry for the younger ones.
