    Anybody tried these sponge-bath aids?

There are people here who have problems doing baths or showers and sometimes want just a sponge bath instead. I'm one of them. I've been getting along with baby wipes but now I've heard about these and wonder if anyone has had any experience with them? I haven't bought any of them and am definitely not eager to promote them, especially if they're not really a good idea for some reason.

It looks as if the sponges get fairly sudsy and yet supposedly you don't need to rinse. I find this hard to believe. I would expect a lather to leave a somewhat sticky residue without being rinsed off.

If I was going camping I might try them, but otherwise I will continue to use soap and water. For people that are bedridden it might be something to try.

      ((((((agate)))))) ~

For many years, I have used Attends wipes for our family. The difference in ingredients for this product compared to Attends wipes is the lack of aloe. Also, Attends wipes are moist, where these wipes require wetting, and they lather. Attends wipes do not lather.

They both contain polyethylene glycol, which is in the COVID vaccines and just about every other product we buy.

I always put the wipes in a plastic baggie and warmed them in the microwave, so they wouldn't be cold when I used them. I didn't use them to cleanse the entire body. I gave bed baths, with a plastic basin of hot water and organic soap and shampoo.

Based upon my experience with using no rinse shampoos and bath sponges in the hospital, I guarantee you that they leave a residue. I always washed my boys with their home shampoos and body washes, in between the aides/nurses bathing them with the "antibacterial" wash and shampoos.

      That's my two cents ...

OK, I tried one of these, and so far, so good. If I break out in a rash, I'll change my tune. There really doesn't seem to be a residue. Not one that I'm aware of but then I'm one of those numb people who aren't always so very aware.

Good for you for trying Agate. Sounds like they did pretty well.
