Happy Halloween- love both those cartoon pictures Agate and Jingle. Jingle too bad I went to the Dentist this past week. If it was this week I would love to show it to all the people in there.

Thank you so much for that great photo! I took a picture of the original with my iPhone to text to my friends. It is perfect for a COVID Halloween!

The days of decorating, dressing up, playing scary music before opening the door are over. Jim and I used to go way overboard, and the kids always looked forward to coming to our house on Halloween. We had so much fun, as did Jon and Michael. They thought we were hilarious.

These days, the new residents do not partake of door-to-door Trick or Treat or decorating. They aren't very social, even with each other. John said the same thing about his neighborhood. No kids ringing his doorbell either.

Last year, someone knocked on my door right before Halloween. I don't answer my door, unless I know someone is coming to visit me, or I hear a voice saying, "Police!"

After the person left, I opened my door, and there was a cute small dish with 3 cookies and a note, which said, "You've been Booed!" Here is one definition of this new tradition:

Of course, I didn't eat the cookies, nor did I follow the instructions. I gave the dish to John, because his wife likes decorative things.

Rose, what a cute way "booing" is to celebrate Halloween. I had never heard of this before. I think it would be a good way to bring neighbors together for those that are able to participate.
