Today has been the day when we honor all US veterans. I hope everyone here has been having a good Veterans Day and remembering those who have served.

Agate, thank you for again bringing this to our attention. I did remember it, but being a former military wife for so many years it would be hard for me to forget.
When they say that the families suffer also it is true. When my husband was in Viet Nam during the war if I was not expecting someone to knock on my door my heart would skip beats when there was a knock. It was lonely to say the least. I lived in Alexandria, Va, which was away from all family. Yet, I was so much better off than wives who had two or three small children. I was always amazed at some of them.Virginia
