Congratulations on a job that was certainly well done! Just the thought of spending so much of a day sitting there in the weather, time after time, is daunting to me, and you had to set it all up, keep it organized, then knock it all down at the end of the day--not to mention getting everything there, keeping track of the transactions, and keeping the produce in good order.
Are you able to stay comfortable while you're at the farmer's market?
Around here many of the farmer's markets go on through November but quite a few of them close up by the end of October.

The weather yesterday was a tale of two seasons! The fog did not lift for hours and the market was so cold until 10 when suddenly the sun came out and the market started functioning. The last market was great. It was sadly sweet to say goodbye for the winter months. Customers even brought me gifts…blueberry jam, applesauce, apple pie filling and even m dog friends cam to see me! Can’t believe we made. It!Linda~~~~

So glad it turned out to be a good day. I am sure it is bittersweet when you have your last day and friends come by to tell you how much they will miss you during the winter months. It is so wonderful that you have been able to hold out and go each year and make all these wonderful friends.
My hat is off to you Linda and to John. Hope you get some rest before you begin the planting and start the process all over.Virginia

I've heard that serious gardeners like yourselves spend their winters planning what to plant next and where and when. True?SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

We spend the winter working. I am already cutting up plants and planting pieces to start new plants for spring. I have a lot of interesting plants that are reproduced by making and rooting cuttings. And there are weeks of work crawling under benches to cut weeds that have grown to take over parts of my greenhouse. By December the seeds we order have arrived and we will be seeding trays of tomatoes, peppers. Etc. a month after that we start transplanting the tiny plants that have grown from those seeds. Farmers work everyday…all year…we take hours off but rarely whole days!

What a lovely way to conclude your season! Sun shining, friends bringing gifts and thanking you ~ very nice.
Those, who are not farmers, don't realize how hard you work sunrise to sunset. I admire you and John for having the stamina to continue this hard work, and clearly your reward is in the satisfaction of your customers. I wish that I could be one of them!
Love & Light,
❤️❤️❤️❤️
