Thank you for sharing this article.

As I posted many times, I am so grateful for Instacart and pleased with the service I receive. Instacart was a godsend for me while I was caring for Jon and Jim. I have no desire to return to in-store shopping, especially with COVID everywhere. In my area, Instacart is available with dozens of stores. I used to order from 4 different stores to find what Jim wanted, but I've honed it down to 2 stores now.

With few exceptions, my shoppers have been excellent. Many of them have told me that most of their customers are Seniors or disabled people, and that they feel honored to provide us with this service.

    Love & Light,

    ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've had fairly good experiences with Instacart too. And shopping in person can be fun and informative but if you've done that regularly for many decades, it's really nice not to have to do that any more.

I haven't heard of a couple of those. I just recently signed up for Walmart+. I ordered my non-grocery items from there for a long time but there was a $35 minimum, driver tip, and a fee and I didn't always have enough to cover all of that, needing maybe a couple of items. So I finally signed up for their service and they just got rid of their minimum requirement, and I have no fee, just a tip. I pay $12.99 a month and order my groceries from there now also. I use to pick up groceries from Kroger's drive-up. I no longer have transport so now I order delivery from Walmart's grocery department. It's nice because Walmart has more stuff in stock and often a better selection. I use delivery probably 4 to 5 times a month.

Hi Chris. Good to see you.

I just ordered groceries for Mom from Walmart today, Weds, for delivery Saturday. I get the same prices as in the store and it says delivery is $9.99 but we only get charged 7.99. That’s it. We do have to meet that $35 minimum. We are not paying a monthly fee.

I like it because my mom has been there and can “ think” her way around the store and I can get many non- grocery items delivered with the food.

Cat food has been tricky to get around here and the prices are going up. That was also the case at Mom’s Pennsylvania Walmart today, too. I have to look at Amazon, Walmart and Chewy to keep us both stocked.

Agate, thank you for the article,

Soft cat food and dog food has become a hot commodity. I was ordering on Amazon but their prices got ridiculous if you can find it. Chewy and Petsmart is a hit or miss as to whether or not it is in stock. I have been fortunate and our Walmarts have had my brand in stock most of the time. Yes one of the reasons I like the Walmart delivery is I can order both food and non food items. If I do that four or five times a month then the $13 is worth it for me.

Thank you for sharing this article. Because I think that many countries are lacking on such delievery services.

                Welcome, leoinehumbert!

You're probably right about other countries. Computers and the Internet are very costly. There are vast numbers of people in the US who can't afford these conveniences, and many other countries aren't nearly as rich as the US. Those of us who are lucky enough to live here try to keep that in mind.

In fact, Instacart tends to assume that all of its customers do texting and use a cellphone. Not true. Instacart would have more customers if they gave up on that assumption.

I don't do texting or use a cellphone (unless I absolutely have to), and I've found that there are ways of dealing with Instacart without them but it's a bit tricky.
