    Evusheld…I get it tomorrow

I get my 2 shots of this drug tomorrow. Because I had extreme reactions to my second and third vaccination shots I am at the top of the list …. (Western MA)
I feel very lucky. It is 2 shots into the muscle. Then they watch you for an hour.

“The first batch of the drug, called Evusheld, shipped out on Monday, according to a spokesperson for the US Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Camille Kotton, an infectious disease expert at Mass General Brigham, said her medical system expects to receive in this shipment only doses to treat fewer than 1% of its thousands of immune-compromised patients.”

Hoping it will go well for you, Linda! And that no snowstorms get in anyone's way. I'm so very glad you were among those who can have this protection. CNN had a news segment about it, and Dr. Elizabeth Cohen even pronounces Evusheld for us (something I was wondering about). Hope you'll let everyone here know how it went.

I've heard that in this country we would be better off if we went bilingual, meaning English and Spanish. But we also need to learn to speak Pharma too. Just pronouncing the name of any new drug is a major challenge.

        ((((((Linda)))))) ~

Did you have a test to measure your antibodies after your booster? I will be thinking of and praying for you tomorrow.

        Ev You Shelled, phonetically.

I think the Big Pharma folks in charge of naming our medications are running out of ideas, or more complicated names, or they are are taking too many of their own drugs.

May all go well for you tomorrow, Linda.

        Love & Light,

        ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Coming down the pike for MS there is apt to be:

orelabrutinib, tolebrutinib, and ubilituximab, to name a few.

My problem with them is mainly where to put the main accent. Or maybe there is none.

I like your idea about how those who thought up the names may have been taking too many of their own drugs....

              Hi, Linda,

How did this go? Are they following up and measuring your antibody levels to see if you have better protection? Thank you for posting about this. I am glad scientists have been working to help protect the immunocompromised.

Ikoiko and SusE-Q …it is interesting. I did have a minor reaction, I think, of wicked exhaustion for 3 days. I think it was a reaction because it is an unusual symptom for me and because it ended very suddenly. One minute I was still feeling crummy and the next minute I felt well. And I have been up and doing things around the house since I started feeling better.

That's an interesting side effect, Linda, glad it was shortlived. You must feel so relieved knowing you are better protected now.
