Lazarus (Linda), you're quite an avid reader, and I hope your birthday will mean a year filled with good books to read.

Thank you Agate. I have audible and am listening to a book celebrating 125 years of book reviews in the history of the NYTimes. It is perfect. Very long. Puts me to sleep within half an hour of going to bed. It is really fascinating..and easy to find where you left off because it is organized by years.

Thanks Ann…went to Northampton for lunch with 2 people I taught with for over thirty years. Restaurant had igloo structures so we reserved one. It was fantastic. Out on the deck but inside the cocoon . Lots of time to sit and enjoy and talk freely without our masks.
And I got lots of presents from these friends. It was so detailed with making my birthday happy that I could almost cry.

I got birthday wishes from 5 former students who have now almost caught up in age to me! Friends I have known for 40 years. Made my heart glad.

Got chocolates from Chocolate Therapy (in Framingham¿). I heard about it on Good a morning America. They hand make them once you put the order in. I got a box with four chocolates….incredible!

And today the sun is shining. No clouds in sight.

Happy Birthday Lazarus. I'm glad you enjoyed your day. I love good chocolate, heck I love even mediocre chocolate.

What grade level and subject did you teach?

I taught 12th grade. Critical and Analytical writing. World Lit. Women in Lit. (Classes I developed and/or designed). And lots of other experiments over the years….it was a golden age when we had some say in what we did and ….well, so much was different.
