Dr. Fouci tested positive for COVID. He had had the same number of shots I have. Just goes to show there is no way to know if or when we will get it. It was heartening to know that at 81 he is having mild symptoms. I think he is going to testify before some committee in the morning. I am sure he will be masked and sitting away from people.

Too bad--and I recall hearing him say he thinks he washes his hands 150 times a day. If anyone was being careful, it was surely Dr. Fauci.
Let's hope that the precautions he's been taking will mean a mild case for him.
A memo came around about another COVID case in this building. It's been a while (months, I think) since we've had a case here.Last edited by agate; 06-15-2022, 07:45 PM.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Anyone know how Dr. Fauci is doing?
And if you're keeping COVID-19 home test kits around, many of the more commonly used brands have had their expiration date extended, and so you can keep them around longer than the date shown on the box. They're listed here:

I just read that Dr. Fouci is or has been suffering rebound effects from the drug he took for COVID. It is COVID like symptoms, but he says worse than original symptoms. After taking the drug he tested negative for 3 days in a row, but decided to test a 4th day at which time he tested positive. It is now indicated that people who have been vaxed shouldn't take the drug.Virginia

I can't find any updates on how Dr. Fauci is doing. But there are two or three new cases of COVID-19 in the building I live in, and some neighbors are now wearing masks again.
AND COVID-19 isn't done with us yet. There's a new variant, and it's "super-contagious." It doesn't even have much of a name--it's called BA.2.75.
This article about it is in Time Magazine (July 11):
