    Thank you for finding this.

CIS is a more recently described category, and apparently it's a problem because doctors can hit it with an MS drug (costly and not so easy on the patient's body) or can wait and see, but the drugs are more likely to be effective if the MS is hit with them early.

You're welcome, I was going to share it on BT's FB page but there is no longer any posting.

I see what you mean. I guess if BT was down and someone from here wanted to let the admins know, we could send a message by posting it as a "Comment" on one of the posts that are already showing up on the BT Facebook page.

Or send an e-mail to btsysop@gmail.com--I think that's still the e-mail address to reach them with.

CIS was what I was diagnosed with when my symptoms first appeared in 2004. My MRI's showed lesions but all of the other tests were inconclusive or negative.

I was given the option to start a DMT right away which I did (Avonex).

I'm not sure when or if my diagnosis changed to MS. I got tired of explaining to people what CIS was so I just started saying I had MS.

This is interesting. I had not known until now what CIS is. Snuggles, if I remember correctly, I believe you do have a mild form of MS. Is that right?

            thanks for this post.

I guess you could say that. Most of my problems are invisible (bladder, bowel) and my walking is affected if I walk longer than about 45 minutes.

Those "invisible" symptoms you mention, Snuggles (bladder, bowels), can be far from mild for the person putting up with them.

And it isn't usually possible to explain to people that you need to be close enough to a bathroom at all times so you can get there in a hurry, or that you might need a lot of time in the bathroom just to clean up. People wonder why I seem not to have much time. They figure I have nothing to do but sit here at home all day. Much of that time I'm spending dealing with bathroom issues.

Snuggles, I hope your bladder and bowel problems are not too bad. Walking for 45 minutes is a long time. That is a good thing.
