Snuggles I am alright, but like Ikoiko I am tired as usual. I get so tired of being tired, but then so many of us with MS feel that way.

By the way Snuggles I was sorry to hear you hurt yourself. It is bad that you have such a long wait for a Doctor. I hope when you do see one the visit will have a good outcome.

Snuggles, what a shame that you had a fall! Probably best to keep using the sling until the appointment and see what the next steps will be. I haven't had that type of fracture but other fractures have involved waiting a few days for the swelling to go down before the doctor could assess the true situation and configure a cast or whatever. So it might not be so bad that you're having to wait but it's frustrating to try to reach the care that is supposed to be there but isn't.

You don't want to press your luck at this point. If something you're doing hurts, stop doing it. But when you finally get to the doctor, ask about how much mobility you can have. Bones take quite a while to heal. This is really too bad. Falls seem to happen all too often with MS.

I visited the orthopedic doctor yesterday. He said these types of fractures are common after falls. He told me to stop wearing the sling and to try to move the forearm from palm up to palm down gently each day and that the motion will hurt some. He also told me not to lift using that arm. I have a follow up visit scheduled in 3 weeks.

Well Snuggles, I guess this means your hubby will have to continue to do the cooking and everything around the house. Lol I am sure you will say you had rather do the work.

Of course you would, Snuggles! But of course you'll need some help just now if you can't do any lifting. Just lifting a saucepan full of water can be quite a lot of lifting. Maybe it's time for takeout or ordering in?

The weather has been so hot here. I just do not do well in this 84 degree weather, especially when it comes in February. I stayed in front of the tv today and didn't do any exercises. However, I wanted to watch the murder trial that is taking place in South Carolina. A big time lawyer, Alex Murdough is on trial for killing his wife and son. I have pretty much reached my verdict and the trial is not over. He was on the stand today and readily admitted to lying about some things earlier. Also he stole millions of dollars from his clients and his law firm. It has been interesting. He is due to take the stand again tomorrow. He is a trial attorney. Obviously he knows everything he is supposed to say and do while on the stand.

84' weather! Around here we're very lucky if it hits the freezing mark. We've had about 11 inches of snow and we're into the second day of it now with no real sign of melting. Groceries weren't delivered yesterday, and I've been putting together an Instacart order and hoping they will be able to make it today. There was no mail delivered yesterday, building office wasn't open, and the building's parking lot looked as if nobody was going anywhere. There were almost no tire tracks in the snow. (Hey, it's almost the end of February! Did someone say something about spring?)

Virginia, I happened to catch some of that trial on TV too. I wasn't very familiar with the details of the case but thought the guy, Alex Murdough, was obviously lying some of the time. He would pause after being asked a question, and you could almost see him wondering what story he could use to answer it without getting into trouble.

He's looking guilty to me too. Sounds as if telling the truth isn't something he does very often...

Some record-breaking weather hit us here--they're saying it's been 11 inches of snow, and more to come before this clears away. It's been hovering at about 30' all day, the really dangerous point where it will thaw a little but have an icy layer underneath that people don't realize is there.

I was really astonished that my Instacart order was delivered today, on time and without a murmur of complaint. I expected them to have a problem with the parking lot here, which is never cleared of snow, but not a word about any problems.

This building's regular maintenance guy retired last August and there hasn't been anyone since except for occasional pinch-hitters. The guy we used to have sometimes made a special trip over here just to clear us a path so we could get to the dumpster with our trash. Not possible now.

But I have groceries for a while now and am happy happy happy.

Agate, now I feel bad about complaining about being hot. It did cool off today and was in the 70s, supposed to be even cooler tomorrow but also rainy.

I think Murdough is guilty. He is a brilliant lawyer and has been a prosecutor, so he knows his way around the witness stand. I think he has lied so much that it is easier to lie than tell the truth. He also has stolen so much money from clients and his law partners. One year he stole 3 million 700 thousand dollars. He admits all this because he blames it on the opioid pills he was on. He looks to the jury to get sympathy and it only takes one juror to fall for it to get him off. If they look at the evidence and I am talking about physical evidence I think they would find him guilty. He has been wealthy, prominent and privileged his entire life. His family has been lawyers and solicitors in that county for decades. Well we should find out next week what the jury's decision is.

Agate, hope the snow leaves you very soon. I also hope Snuggles is doing well with her injury.

Enjoy your warm weather, Virginia, if you can. It's hard if it's too hot though, isn't it? In fact, my idea of acceptable weather is a sunny day between 60' and about 75', maybe 80' sometimes. I don't mind a warm gentle rain either.

Now that I've ordered up my weather, where can I go to find weather like that year round? The Puget Sound area comes close but I haven't heard of very many parts of the world that escape more extreme weather. Or else they have great weather but bad earthquakes.

Yes, I gathered that Murdaugh is hoping some will take pity on him on account of his extreme addiction problem. Someone on TV has pointed out that if just one juror has that much compassion, there will be a hung jury, but at least he'll probably be convicted of a lot of other crimes.

Santa Barbara, CA has perfect weather, also an ocean and mountains! My kind of place!

I spent three 3-year assignments at Vandenberg AFB in north Santa Barbara County. Always moved from there to North Dakota! Very hard on wardrobe.
