Anybody ever watch the original TV series, The Twilight Zone? I found all five seasons online and have been binge-watching them ever since. The writing and direction are superb, as is the cinematography. I doubt there is much that can compare with the series on television today.

Weather Report: 96° in the shade, 16% humidity, and 7-mph WSW winds.

      Can you say "brush fire?"

Here in Missouri, 5:48PM, it's exactly 100*. Ugh

Shudder. I hope you're managing to stay in the shade and cool off, jingle and flatcap.

Our day in the sun (!) is coming soon here, I'm sure. Last year we were at 116', an all-time record for this area.

That was a good series. I remember watching it whenever it was on, regularly. I wouldn't mind seeing them again either. I'll be looking them up. I've been going through old "Star Trek" seasons but might be getting tired of them. There's always a fist fight or other violent confrontation, there's always at least one very alluring female, but I do enjoy watching Mr. Spock almost always be right about everything.

I have long missed the original Star Trek TV series. All I have been able to find online were the later series, plus the various Star Trek movies. Those are all fine, but there has never been anything quite as good as the beginning.

It got into the low 90s here in Raleigh, NC today. Unfortunately, I think it is due to be a lot hotter this weekend and into next week.

I use to watch Twilight Zone when it was on TV. I really enjoyed it, but I have so much backed up now that I don't need to take on any more. With reading and the few programs I am interested in, there is not much time to do other things.

The temp here maxed out at 101° around 6:00 PM. We'll be seeing that again and more this summer. We do every year.

Virginia, I know what you mean about time. This is an odd work-around but I'll mention it: Some years ago I was getting so tired of having almost no time for anything like watching movies that I made up my mind that I was going to carve out some time in every day for sitting around looking at a movie or TV while doing some crocheting, even if it meant putting off some jobs till another day. It's amazing how many tasks can be put off by a day. I just move them on to the next day's to-do list.

Any time after dinner and its cleanup is time reserved for movies. Even so, because of the Copaxone shot and the routines involved in shutting down for the day, I'm lucky if I get an hour for watching movies. A day when I have more than an hour is a truly great day. Most movies last more than an hour, and so I hardly ever watch a movie straight through.

If there aren't any movies, I listen to a book. I find it relaxing to get out of my own life and into some other world for a while, even if it's just a book that is presenting a lot of facts, like a biography.
