    Oh golly gee, housework might help to prevent dementia

    I don't know if this is good news for those of us who are trying to minimize housework because it's so tiring but this July issue of Brain and Life contains an article indicating that doing housework is good for the brain by preventing dementia. Actually, it does allow as how any nonsedentary activity seems to help to stave off dementia,

    And just think, I paid my house cleaners to come today. No wonder I am not thinking too good tonight.

      I'm afraid that this finding has to be treated carefully by anyone with MS who gets tempted to overdo housework to the point of dangerous fatigue.

      Maybe you'll recognize this thought process: "Now I've cleaned up the bathroom but the floor looks dirty. I really should mop that while I'm right here.... OK, now that floor is done but what about the kitchen floor?...And look at all of the clutter piled up on that shelf here in the kitchen. I really should sort that out...."
